How Does the Trip Planning Process Work?
Initial Consultation Service
Getting to know one another is the first step to crafting the travel experience of your dreams. During our first consultation, (which can be in person at the office or remotely via Zoom, FaceTime or Facebook) we will discuss your travel style and preferences. We will answer any questions you may have and go over our contract with you and what you can expect once you pay the planning fee.
We accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, Cash, Check and major Credit Cards with a 3.5% processing fee. service
Developing Your Perfect Trip
Once we agree to work together and the planning fee is paid, we will begin bringing your trip to life! We begin to create itineraries and organize travel arrangements and reservations based on all of the information you have provided. We will work with you until you are completely satisfied and excited about your travel plans.
Initial Preparations Service
Once an acceptable travel plan has been developed that meets all of your expectations, the real fun begins! We will provide you with a convenient and comprehensive itinerary that includes all of your travel documents and plans in one place. You can spend time reviewing your upcoming accommodations and experiences at any time – even while traveling! We will also offer plenty of tips and suggestions for your specific destinations and we will be on standby should any questions or issues arise.
Your Travel Adventure Begins
At this point, your trip will begin, and you can relax knowing your travels have been carefully arranged and customized to fit your preferences. You will have the freedom to enjoy your trip without stressing about what comes next on your itinerary or whether reservations have been booked. You can also feel confident in knowing that we are standing by 24/7 should anything unexpected occur.

FEES FOR SERVICES:
At Travel by Jon & Jo’El, we do more than just book your vacation. Our role extends beyond the booking process. We look out for your best interests before, during and after travel and protect your vacation dollars and hours. We are available to assist when necessary, and you will benefit from our connections and relationships with our supplier partners. We also try to get the extras so that every detail is taken care of for you.
And just like other professionals, charge a fee for our expertise and our commitment to making your vacation the best experience possible. If you are looking for a true partner with the connections to get you the best value, then we cannot wait to start working with you.
Our travel industry relationships will provide you special amenities at the world’s best hotels, unique experiences, and an itinerary that reflects your travel dreams. We really take all the worry out of your vacation.
We do not book hotels with less than a 4-star rating and try to work with suppliers that are making the effort in sustainability. We truly treat our clients as if they are family and treat your vacations as such.
Here is the breakdown of our fees, which will be explained to you for your approval before we begin designing your customized vacation:
- Concierge Planning Fee: $75.00
Includes 2 adults and any children under 18 on same reservation. Older children/adults over 18 and in same room are an additional $25 each.
- Extended Getaway (11 + days): $150.00
- Groups: $50 per person 6 or more, $75 per person 12 or more
- Last Minute Trips: $200 Drop Everything Fee
(Within 1 day of travel)
We also charge fees for cancellations and revisions once a deposit has been made.
- $50.00/pp once the deposit has been paid and prior to final payment.
- $100.00/pp after final payment.
These change/cancellation fees must be paid in cash or certified check and your cancellation request must be received in writing along with the fee before the reservation will be cancelled with the supplier.
